Doug

I think it is great your book was cited in Coin Values (April 2010)

The article made me reflect a bit on my collecting career. I have been an avid collector for many years...and I have learned some tough lessons...and some great joys...

But overall my collection was somewhat one dimensional...if you don't know what I mean, read the article in Coin Values...really interesting on grading 5 dollar gold...but when you take some time and visit Doug's website, you really appreciate how important it is to go beyond looking for "soft strikes"...

Coin Values goes into differences in strikes, grading, etc...but they miss so much about what to look for, what is important....for instance "the right color", Cleaned coins, garbage that makes its way into a slab...etc...

I just wanted to right a quick note saying "thank you" for providing your blogs, reports, books, and commentary. You would probably be surprised at how many people do read them...and talk about them. I never miss one...

Doug, was Lou Pinella "just there" visiting the show, or was it a promotional thing? I am a fan of the Cubs, and I also like it when Lou is interviewed cuz he always seems to keep so cool about everything. I especially like it when he loses that cool and gets thrown out of a game! Thanks for the show update for those of us that couldn't attend. I could sense the bourse excitement in your recap. -Craig.
