Doug,

I was confused by the same phrase as Longacre.

I hope there are some nice deals in this upcoming market for coins that are off the beaten path -- great original rare gold coins that only a specialist would love. It will also be interesting to see the number of reserves not met - -we have already seen of couple of examples in the Stacks auction. Coins like the 1849-O New Orleans Eagle. Best you can find, realistically , is a nice AU58 - but only if you are a specialist do you know just how rare that coin is.

Dear Doug:

I am not sure what you mean by "and having established programs to sell into." Does this mean regular sales into an established wholesale market, or something different? If it means the wholesale market, can a dealer be truly successful if a too-high percentage of coins are sold into the wholesale programs, versus coins sold to clients? Thanks.
