<description>I enjoyed your list. I have a 1892-O half eagle. I&#039;ve kept it with other coins since 1959, but it was in the family before that, 1892 was the year my grandfather was born. Unfortunitly I never kept good care of it. My question is, how do I have the coin professionally graded.
Your direction would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

<description>The 1863 and 1865 gold dollars are indeed quite rare (I have both because of their great value, and this are the only gold dollars I have other than New Orleans) I find that it is best to get them in the PCGS holder as the older NGC holder doesn&#039;t do well for gold dollars. It&#039;s opaqueness combined with its depth obsurces some of this very small, lovely coin.

The 1847-O half eagle is also very, very rare, in relation to the rest of the series. In my complete collection of New Orleans half eagles, this is the only example that is not mint state. However, since I love this coin so much, I actually have two certified as AU55. I thought they were very undervalued.
